About Us

The Greens Keeper, INC was established in 2004 shortly after Ryan graduated from high school and as he started a two year horticulture degree at the University of New Hampshire, which he graduated with honors. Since he graduated he has been on his own building his landscaping business.

TGK Hardscapes began as The Greens Keeper Landscaping, but as Ryan's experience has grown, so has his business. Weekly lawn mowing and gardening was where it started and hardscapes is what is has become. For the last 10-12 years the main focus has become the hardscape side of landscaping and focusing more on the outdoor living aspect of this industry. Over the years we phased out our lawn maintenance and gardening to focus on what our true passion is and that is making peoples landscape dreams come true. To us that means we enjoy adding value and usable space on the property to extending their inside living space out.

About Ryan

Ryan first got into landscaping when a friend of the family offered them a job when he was in Junior High and that was to help him mow a couple of lawns after school a few times a week. As time went on and school was out his summer job was landscaping. His first commercial lawn mower was a 36" belt driven Bobcat lawn mower when they use to be green. By the time he got in high school the family friend sold his business and handed Ryan a couple of lawns that he could push mow. After school all through late Junior High and High School he grew his lawn mowing business even when he was was to young to drive and had to be driven around in his mothers station wagon with the back hatch open. Things grew to where he had 140 weekly lawn mowing and gardening accounts.

Ryan has over 20 years of experience, is ICPI (Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute) Certified, and has his degree in horticulture that he received from UNH and graduated with honors. He's always loved plants and trees and as he learned more about the hardscaping side, he has grown that love stone, brick, and other materials that can create a beautiful outdoor living space.

Outside of work Ryan enjoys spending time with his two boys; Jack who is 15 and William who is 11. They enjoy being outdoors, hunting, fishing, hiking (especially in North Conway), riding dirt bikes, four-wheelers and especially snowmobiles with Leroy, the family dog. Ryan also takes great pride in supporting the local community with sponsorships for local sports teams like baseball and soccer.
